Kids/Teens Programs

WHAT KIDS/TEENS PROGRAMS ARE ALL ABOUT

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends children five and up get at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity most days of the week. At Lift, we aim to provide this for our kids, pre-teens, and teens. We want to help improve their fitness, health, and daily habits from a young age. Fit Kids is a program designed to teach training methods to children ages 5-12. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, our Fit Kids program emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement. Fit Kids is meant to be BIG fun! Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. The program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids

We also offer Youth Strength & Conditioning. This program is designed to support and enhance athletic performance for junior high and high school athletes. We also aim to provide resilience to injury through strength development and awareness of proper movement patterns.
